Zombies and flesh eaters are one of the hottest things going right now, but do they really exist or is it just science fiction and Hollywood magic? If they really do exist, can a zombie apocalypse actually occur? What do theory and science have to say? What is the connection between Voodoo and zombies? Can Voodoo be used to actually raise the dead and create zombies? Join us for this first time ever workshop. We promise this class will be very informative and fun as well and we welcome class participation with this one. Monday, May 20, 2013 - $80.00 - Salem Bus Trip Our third annual bus trip to Salem and a yearly favorite to Mark's stomping grounds! It's a great time for everyone, in fact we have people who attend every year. Seating is on a first come-first serve basis. We only have a few seats left so anyone who is interested should phone the shop as soon as possible. We will take you on a tour of Salem that you'll never experience with anyone else and take you to personally meet some of the most famous witches and witch shops in town. We leave the commuter lot at the intersection of Routes 25 and 111 in Monroe at 7:30 a.m and return at approximately 9:30 p.m. Ages 16 and over are welcome and the trip is rain or shine. Effigy reserves the right to refuse admittance for any ticket purchases at our sole descretion, or if a ticket sale has already been made, we then have the right to cancel any individual's bus ticket that we deem necessary and provide a full refund of the ticket price. We will discuss planting and gardening techniques, as well as several different recipes for use both from culinary and majickal perspectives. Why do we gaze at the moon, and what is that calls to us in the moon’s light? Come and discover why witches gather beneath the full moon. Learn about the connection between the moon and the ritual circle. Discover the inner the teachings about the moon and its role in birth, life, death, and renewal. This talk will include a talk on the magic of moonlight, the role of the goddess of Witchcraft, and the connection of the Underworld theme. This lecture is 2 hours with a 10 minute break in the middle. Time for Q & A will be provided. This year promises to be even better. Come join the festivities! Full buffet, open bar, DJ and dancing Please come in costume or formal attire - jeans, tee shirts, sneakers or other casual attire will be refused admittance. Our authors travel from out of state to present their classes and workshops and we commit to a certain number of attendees. Effigy is limited in seating space and we have had a huge response to our classes. Unfortunately, we have had last minute cancellations for unpaid classes which leave unfilled space for people we have turned away. Therefore, we are now requiring payment for classes upon sign-up and there are no refunds. Effigy reserves the right to refuse admittance to ANY person or persons at the store or at any of it's workshops or events at it's own descretion.
